Before any alterations or additions are made to church buildings you must obtain permission from the church diocesan authorities. This is called applying for a faculty. This involves a great deal of form filling and the provision of photographs and drawings which show what you wish to do.
To help with the application for the bell work at Drayton, the provision of the new ringing room floor and the new traps to enable the new bells to come up the tower Kevin Jackson, a professional draughtsman has kindly gave time last Saturday to inspect the tower at Drayton. He will free of charge prepare drawings with photographs to support our application for permission to carry out the work.
It's really fantastic that so many people are willing to give their time in aid of this project. A big thank you.
